Being Seen
Spring asks us to bravely bloom as we are
Today is the genesis of the rest of your life
might as well make it a garden
fresh
full of life
fruit
creatures and trees
cool evening walks
but now that you know the story
this time
choose the tree of
life
Dear brave one,
It would be easier to stay hidden. To live beneath the frozen winter ground where it’s dark, safe, and familiar. It takes vulnerability to push through the dirt and allow the world to watch you grow; to step into the light and be seen for who you really are.
And so you begin, and like a bud you slowly reveal yourself.
You had no idea how good it would be to feel the warmth of the sun on your face, and experience being drenched with rain. You thought it would burn you; drown you. But it only brought you into a more abundant life. And you realize the fear you had was never real, just an untrue story that you believed. All the heaviness you’ve been secretly carrying is released back into the earth where it turns into compost for your new dreams.
You notice a robin in a cherry tree, children running barefoot through the grass, laughter, the heavens. You’re alive, in the middle of it all. What you would have missed if you didn’t trust there was more.
You take up space, own your shape, and release your courage into the world. Oh how I wish you could see how beautiful you are.
It takes immense strength of heart and resilience of spirit to live a soft and true life. But most of all, it takes receiving love for your heart to open and blossom. And this love is always available to you, in every moment. A love that loved you while you were in hiding, a love that loved you while you were unfolding; a love for every season of you. May you feel this love loving you now. Stay open brave bloom, it’s safe now.
Not all of us bloom at the same time, but when it’s your season, I hope you flourish. I hope you emerge with vibrant shades of color and a willingness to be seen for the beautiful creation you are.
With love,
Dyanna
