There is Nothing to Fix
I'm no longer interested in being my best self. My only goal is to be myself, and that is the deepest work of all.
Dear Beauty,
We all know the truth, it’s not real. But how did we get so good at pretending it is? Dear one, It’s time to stop hiding underneath the suffocating material of perfection.
You are more beautiful, wild, and carefree than the image you slay yourself to create. Trying to fit your luscious self into the compression of conformity.
Uncomfortable, unmovable. Are you even able to take a deep breath?
Yes, it holds in all our so-called flaws, but who decided they were flaws in the first place? It wasn’t me, and it wasn’t you. Someone, somewhere, has been working very hard to turn us against each other, comparing us, and offering us lies to keep us small, tucked away, and busy with the business of fixing ourselves.
You were never meant to hide. There is nothing to fix.
Can you be brave enough to take it off?
Let your bare soul feel the warmth of the light; skinny dip in the currant of grace. There is freedom beyond the unrealistic expectations you’ve squeezed yourself into. You were made to be different, molded to a shape like no other.
You are not her. Thank goodness! Because we need you. We need you to shed the layers you’ve sewn together to protect yourself, and reveal your original form.
Your life is specifically custom designed for you. It would not fit anyone else. No one could hold all the love you hold, feel all the pain you’ve felt, and have seen all the beauty you’ve seen.
And it’s time you get to see farther and expand; to view what’s truly possible, at your own pace, in your own way.
Being yourself is the key to unlock secret doors of possibilities that have never been opened before. Your greatest success is simply being who you were created to be. If you could just decide once and for all, that your life is enough, that you’re enough, you would know what it feels like to float above the noise. Don’t wait another day to truly feel your life, all of it. For you’re the only one who can. It’s a great surrender, to be yourself.
We need your face, your spirit, your mind. And most of all, we need your heart.
It’s time. Let us see you.
When one woman has the courage to be herself, she will begin to free us all.
I’m with you,
Dyanna
